RH Baby Pompadour Sport Yarn: #1022 Pink Frost
size "F"  hook
pale pink satin ribbon

Row 1:  CH 34,  sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.
ch 2, turn.

Row 2:  (for neckline/bodice)
1 hdc in next 4 sts, 3 hdc in next st (corner made), 1 hdc in next 5 sts,  3 
hdc in next st (corner made), 1 hdc in next 10 sts, 3 hdc in next (corner 
made), 1 hdc in next 5 sts, 3 hdc in next st (corner made), 1 hdc in 
remaining 5 sts,   ch 2, turn.

Row 3: following the pattern of row 2,  1 hdc in each , putting 3 hdc in 
center st of each corner.  repeat for 3 more rows.

Row 5:  (armholes)   1 hdc in ea st to first corner, ch 7, sk sts between 
first corner and second corner, put 1 hdc in corner st and in each st 
across to third corner, ch 7, sk sts between third corner and fourth 
corner,  putting 1 hdc in forth corner st and in each one across.
ch 2, turn.

Row 6:  1 hdc in each st around,  ch 2, turn.

Row 7:  repeat row 6 .

Row 8: (pattern row for body).    ch 3, 2 dc in same sp .   * sk 2 sts, Vst 
in next, sk 2 sts, 5 dc in next (shell),   repeat from * around.  ending 
with 3 dc in last st. ch 3, turn.

Row 9:  1 dc in same sp,  * 5 dc (shell) in center of V st, 1 V st in center 
of shell,  repeat from * around.

repeating Row 9; always put a V st in center of a shell, and a 
shell in center of a V st.

on rows that begin with a shell, always make a half shell (2 dc),
the ch 3 will be your first dc.    on rows that end with a shell be 
sure to put 3 dc in same sp.

repeat this row for 18 more rows.

SLEEVES:   attach yarn under arm, ch 3,
Row 1:   1 hdc evenly spaced around arm hole.  join with sl st.
Row 2-8:  ch 2, 1 hdc in each st around.  join.
Row 9:  ch 2,  *1 hdc front post in next, 1 hdc back post in next, 
repeat from * around.  join.

repeat row 9 for 2 more rows.   end off.  weave in ends.

FINISHING:   weave in 18" of satin ribbon  around neckline, 
tie in a bow.
~NOTE~V-st;  ( 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc in same space).
Front Post st; (working a hdc around the front of st on previous row).
Back Post st; (working a hdc around the back of st on previous row).
